On 14-17 April, the XVIII International Scientific Conference “Monitoring of Geological Processes and Ecological Condition of the Environment” was held, organised by the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers in cooperation with the Educational and Scientific Institute “Institute of Geology” of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

This year’s program includes more than  180 scientific presentations delivered across 10 thematic sections, covering a wide range of current topics – from monitoring geological hazards to the latest approaches in digital geology.

Life of Mine Plan preparation using optimization and strategic planning algorithms” – Natalia Bariatska’s presentation on the use of optimisation and strategic planning algorithms to create a Life of Mine Plan that allows mining companies to predict potential operational and financial risks, ensure sustainable and profitable operation and economic viability of a mining project.

Geospatial integration of different types of geological data using Micromine Origin & Beyond” – Nina Safronova’s presentation on advanced tools that allow combining geological data from different sources, formats and coordinate systems, improving workflows and reducing errors.
