On May 23, the XXI International Scientific and Technical Conference “Development of Industry and Society” was held at Kryvyi Rih National University. The event gathered experts from universities, academic, research, and design institutes, industrial enterprises and other organizations. The scientific reports presented at the conference cover different scientific areas focused on the development of industry and society.

Nataliia Bariatska and Nina Safronova joined the research area “Conceptual principles of mineral mining and processing and metallurgical production in the context of environmentally friendly industrial development” together with colleagues from Kryvyi Rih National University, associate professors Serhiy Lutsenko and Yulian Gryhoriev and professor and head of the Department of Open Pit Mining Serhii Zhukov.

The report “Design and Planning of Open Pit Mining in Micromine Beyond Software” was focused on a detailed analysis of the stages of the open pit mining workflow, from open pit optimisation and design to strategic and current scheduling using advanced mining software.
