International Scientific-Practical Conference “Subsoil Use in Ukraine. Prospect for Investment 2023"

On 9-12 October VIII International Scientific-Practical Conference “Subsoil Use in Ukraine. Prospect for Investment” took place in Lviv. This conference has been held annually by State Commission of Ukraine on Mineral Resources since 2014, except for 2022, the year of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The conference is aimed at developing international cooperation, discussing topical issues and sharing experience in the subsoil use sector.

Our company presented the reports “Geological data as a company’s asset and the basis for investment decisions” and “Methodological Approaches to Assessing the Resource Potential of Critical Mineral Resources in Ukraine”. The workshop “Regulatory and Methodological Aspects of the Application of Different Classification Systems in Ukraine” was focused on the challenges related to integration into the European and global geological regulatory and legal system. Our presentation concerned the methodological differences between resource estimation using block modelling and reserve calculation using traditional methods.
