What is Micromine Learning Management System?

LMS (Learning Management System) is a platform designed to host educational content about Micromine products. The LMS provides convenient and centralised access to learning content for all stakeholders, facilitating effective learning and development of users.

Micromine uses Adobe Learning Manager, a cloud-based learning platform that can be used through web browsers or a mobile app to access learning content at any time.

Training content on Micromine software products on the LMS platform is available free for the following categories of users:

  1. Customers with current licences have access to all content related to the Micromine software in accordance with the current licences, as well as to quickly discover new features and tools of the latest versions of the software products.
  2. Customers / prospective customers with trial licences have access to training materials and presentations to review the software’s capabilities before purchasing.
  3. Micromine’s employees and partners have training and development opportunities on the company’s products and services.
  4. Professors and students of universities with an academic licence. Professors can use all types of training resources to improve skills and teach students. Students have access to self paced content.

LMS training content

The LMS is a very diverse and well-designed learning platform. The LMS offers several main types of initial content, such as standard online instructor led courses, long form self-paced courses and self-paced micro courses.

1. Micromine standard instructor led courses

    • ◦ Delivered online with Zoom or Teams.
    • ◦ Instructors are experienced product specialists across the globe
    • ◦ Learning resources provided: datasets and manuals
    • ◦ Short form prerequisites courses suggested
    • ◦ Course structure:
    • -3 hour instructional session
    • -1 hour Q&A session.
    • ◦ On completion, course recordings are made available privately
    • ◦ Users can enroll on courses in any region.
    • ◦ Languages include: – English, – Spanish, – Bahasa Indonesia.
    • ◦ All timings are adjusted to display in the user’s local time.

Certificate of attendance is provided.

2. Micromine long form self-paced courses

    • ◦ Available at your own pace, in your own time
    • ◦ Videos generated by experienced geologists / mine engineers
    • ◦ Videos enhanced with annotations and video editing
    • ◦ Learning resources provided: datasets and manuals
    • ◦ Structure includes:
    • -Reading material covering key concepts
    • -Quizzes
    • -Activities
    • ◦ Duration ranges from 7 1/2 hours through to 2 1/2 hours.

3. Micromine self-paced micro courses

    • ◦ Available at your own pace, in your own time
    • ◦ Videos presented by experienced geologists / mine engineers
    • ◦ Videos enhanced with annotations and video editing
    • ◦ No learning resources provided
    • ◦ Structure: -Collections of YouTube style short videos
    • ◦ Duration ranges from 10 minutes through to 1 hour
    • ◦ Easy to find related content
    • ◦ Learners can find out more about each presenter

For those with limited time, short courses are available that focus on specific topics or skills, allowing you to quickly gain the knowledge you need.

Users can make the most of an LMS to effectively learn and develop their skills with such a variety of resources and capabilities.

The course timetable is available on the LMS home page or on the corresponding page of the Micromine website. You can find the courses you need using various filters by software product, region, etc.

Registration on the LMS

To access the LMS, you need to complete this form. You will receive an email with step-by-step registration instructions to your email address.

  1. Click – click your personal registration link.
  2. Complete – complete the registration form, ensuring your details are entered correctly. By clicking Register, you are agreeing to the Micromine Terms of Use & Privacy Policy.
  3. Verify – After completing your registration, you will receive a verification email. Once verified, you will be able to log into the LMS.
