“Competent talks on Ukraine’s Minerals” - Meeting with the Media

The “mineral deal agreement” to be signed by Ukraine and the United States of America has generated increased public interest in Ukraine’s critical mineral resources, which are the subject of the agreement. Geology, mining, and subsoil use are quite complicated areas for ordinary citizens to understand, so highlighting professional topics on TV channels, media resources, and radio is a challenge for journalists and analysts.

On March 13, 2025, Softmine LLC specialists met with the media, organized by the NADRA.info news agency with the support of Kyiv Media Hub. The event brought together media representatives from Radio Ukraine, Hromadske, Forbes, LB.ua, Ekonomichna Pravda, Glavkom, RBC-Ukraine, Liga.net, Mind, KyivVlada, D1 Сhannel (Dnipro), vsim.ua (Khmelnytskyi News). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss topics related to rare earth elements, critical minerals and approaches to their value assessment, differences between resources and reserves in Western approaches, the current regulatory framework of Ukraine on strategic and critical minerals, the significance of preserving historical geological data, the current situation in the state geological industry, subsoil audit (special permits for subsoil use), state accounting of mineral reserves and resources, prospects and risks of foreign investment for Ukraine and other important issues.
